RHI Water Ltd worked with the design consultants to design and supply a pressurised rainwater harvesting system to service all the WC’s throughout this six-story building. A dedicated tank room below the underground car park houses a HYDRAPRO FT4 filter which is filtering the rainwater from the 2,500m2 roof above. This water is stored in a 48,000L sectional tank. From here the water is boosted to serve the WC’s via a multi stage filtration process and UV disinfection to ensure the highest quality water reaches the WC’s. All elements of the system are monitored and controlled by a HYDRAPRO SMART CPU control panel which minimises the use of high-quality mains water and provides valuable alarm monitoring outputs to the Building Management System.
The rainwater harvesting system has enabled the Olympic House Building to deliver a quality, efficient and sustainable working environment which has achieved BREEAM Excellent rating.
