Rainwater harvesting system for office WCs in Scotland
RHI Water Ltd supplied a pressurised rainwater harvesting system to service all the WC’s throughout this six-stories of office space. A dedicated tank room adjacent to the underground car park houses two HYDRAPRO FT2 filters which is filtering the rainwater from the 2,000m2 roof above. This water is stored in a 30,000 liter sectional tank. From here the water is boosted to serve the WC’s via a multi stage filtration process and UV disinfection to ensure the highest quality water reaches the WC’s. All elements of the system are monitored and controlled by a HYDRAPRO SMART CPU control panel which minimises the use of high-quality mains water and provides valuable alarm monitoring outputs to the Building Management System.
The rainwater harvesting system assisted the 6 St Andrew Square building to deliver a quality, efficient and sustainable building which achieved a BREEAM “Very Good” rating. Looking for a solution for a rainwater harvesting system for office WCs? Contact us.
